Child Sponsorship

Child Sponsorship of at-risk children, from 4 to 16 years of age, who we place in schools, prioritizing education to ensure a brighter future for them. We welcome street children into foster homes. The Child Sponsorship fee requested from each sponsor is 300€ per year (or 0.80€ per day - 25€ per month). The sums are managed by our local partner – Catholic Mission of Shashamane – and are roughly divided as follows:

• 30% education (school fees and educational materials)
• 30% medical assistance and clothing (during the local holidays we give gifts of food, clothing, as well as health and sanitary products)
• 30% emergency fund (surgery, rent/repairs of housing, transportation expenses, and help for deserving students attending university who, because of age limits, are no longer participating in the project)
• 10% administration costs (wages and salaries for local operators, office supply costs, utility expenses, and project related transportation costs)

Schools

We operate in the schools by providing training courses for teachers to improve the quality of instruction in classes which are comprised of an average of about 80 students, with limited teaching aids available. We provide resource materials, we send volunteers to run educational courses for the students, we build schools.

Women’s Promotion Centers

We have established a Women’s Promotion Center, which provides training and microcredits, and restores dignity to needy women head-of- households. We do this because by helping a woman you make a positive change in the futures of their children, their families, their communities, their country.

Healthcare

We have a clinic put into operation by doctors and volunteers who utilize their skills with loving care, professionalism, and medicines.
