SUMMER SCHOOL: I CARE, WE CARE…WHERE THE FUTURE TAKES SHAPE

Summer in Shashamane for the students supported by GMA Napoli is synonymous with study, growth and hope.

The Summer School is dedicated to students who need to recover passing grades in subjects where they failed to achieve the required standard. Every morning, divided into small groups, they attend lessons in English, Mathematics, Science and Native Language, alternating with periods of playtime, group activities and taking care of school spaces.

However, there is another aspect that makes this experience even more precious. Each participant receives a satisfying snack -- because with a full belly you study better. This is a simple gesture that, for many of these young people, really makes a difference.

HERE IS WHAT WE HEAR FROM SOME OF OUR STUDENTS, WHEN INTERVIEWED BY TARIKU (COORDINATOR AND SCOUT LEADER)

Bilen, 9 years old, loves science and dreams of becoming a doctor. The same desire also unites Kaleb, Bemiemnat and Ashenafi: to study so that one day they can work in the health sector and use their skills in service to the community.

Natinael, on the other hand, dreams of becoming a teacher. He says that thanks to the support he has received, he can attend school and hopes one day to give back to others the same joy that he experiences every morning when he enters the classroom.

For Samuel, the Summer School is an opportunity to live the summer in a constructive way and arrive more prepared for the start of the new school year. He also loves to take care of the small trees which have been planted thanks to the GMA Napoli project "Let's plant a tree, let's give life".

These are small steps that, day after day, build great opportunities and allow these boys and girls to imagine and build a brighter future in their country, thanks to your support of Child Sponsorship.
